The Latin America and the Caribbean Soil Partnership (ASLAC) was established in April 2019 by the merging of the South America and the Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico Soil Partnership, founded respectively in April 2012 and October 2013 to enhance linkages between national and local programs and activities of soil and land management in the region. The partnership aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and overcome differences in information, capacity, investment and environmental challenges faced by countries across the region.
